On the E36 and E46, they are known to dent the hood, from jumping up as the engine powers in a clocking rotation. The engine mount located on the driver side usually fails first. The original rubber mounts will give up, again and again. There's no way around it. They were designed to drive in traffic, not to last under hardcore driving. We strongly recommend upgrading to solid engine mounts for reliability and performance. While rubber mounts damp and absorb power for comfort, solid ones transfer the engine power directly to the rear wheels.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow is this kit different from the others?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOther kits have their fastener pressed directly in the material, it leads to a bad tightening. Our unique design provides a strong compression in the mount, even if the mount is under tension. Taking the fastener anchor point from the opposite side of the mount makes this a game changer. As per aluminum, the increase of noise and vibrations is unbearable. The Delrin assembly is much lighter than aluminum. Delrin is just as solid, while dampening better. The mounts we manufacture can be daily driven with ease. Polyurethane is known for their inferior heat resistance. There's a 5mm plate assembled in the engine mount. If you want, you can disassemble your mount and remove that plate. The engine will sit 5mm closer to the ground, correcting the gravity point.
