On this episode of Behind the Build, we welcome AK Integrated Autowerks, the family-run shop led by KC and Carmina that’s known for pushing the limits of unique engine swaps. KC has built a reputation for engineering his own swap kits, custom parts, and solutions that allow uncommon engines to live in platforms most people wouldn’t normally consider. Their builds focus on innovation, clean execution, and real track performance.

First up is their BMW E36 powered by a turbocharged Vortec 4200 4.2L inline-six, originally built for Carmina and recently piloted by Micah Diaz at Polecat. It’s a unique combination of OEM engineering and serious power. We also take a look at the car that broke the internet — Carmina’s N54-swapped Nissan S14 (240SX). The single turbo BMW engine in the S-chassis platform creates a wild setup. Both builds showcase AK Integrated’s approach to doing things differently, while using high-quality components from brands we trust and carry at Drift HQ, including Haltech, Radium Engineering, Chase Bays, BC Racing, FDF Race Shop, and more.

If you’re into engine swaps, drifting, and innovative builds, this is one you don’t want to miss. Check out this episode of Behind the Build.
