When you severely lower your E36 or E46, the rear suspension by design ends up having tons of toe-in. To compensate for that, these rear trailing arm bushings are offset to push out the control arm dialing out some toe-out. How much is dialed out actually depends on how lowered the vehicle is.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDepending upon the orientation of these offset bushings, they have the ability to either take toe out or add toe! To add toe out, you want to orient the bushings so that the thin side is facing the side skirt, while the thick side is facing the differential. That stands true for street and race use. When the RTABs are gone, the rear toe (the angle that the tire points in or out) will vary under load and cause this \"loose\" feeling.
