These bushings are intended to be an OEM replacement for BMW part number 11811128932 and will work on all E28 and E24 chassis that are equipped with the \"big six\" M30 engine or M20 powered cars. These poly engine mounts feature a captive stud design. This means that the mounting studs are separate from one another and encapsulated within the polyurethane to provide as much vibration dampening as is possible through the material. The polyurethane material offers a significant upgrade in rigidity over the factory rubber, allowing for better power transfer and reducing the engine movement, especially during performance driving. We generally recommend the softer 80A polyurethane for most street driven cars with occasional spirited or performance use. The 95A is generally suited for the weekend car and\/or one that will regularly see track and performance use. Solid aluminum is uncompromising and does not offer any vibration dampening but also provides the most support. We generally only recommend the aluminum mounts for race or track use only (although we do know a few masochists who will daily drive with these mounts, to each their own, your tolerance to noise and vibration can only be determined by you).
