The Lifeline Formula Car Quick Release Steering Boss is pre-drilled with 3 holes on a 50.8mm (2") PCD (Approx 44mm centres of adjacent holes) & is a direct fit for many pre-drilled single seater / sports car steering wheels.

The Lifeline range of quick release steering bosses are CNC manufactured using aircraft quality aluminium that is hard anodised for strength & durability.  The bosses designed for motorsport are anodised gold in line with FIA requirements.

Both male & female splines are precision gear cut to ensure an accurate fit with zero backlash while a master spline allows the wheel to be fitted in the same position every time.  The male weld in spigot is made from 20mm diameter EN 3B steel with a 6mm pilot hole through the centre.
 
Lifeline quick release bosses are also available with a pre-wired 8 way electrical connector for use with steering wheel mounted instruments or switch gear.
 
For safety reasons the attachment of the spigot to the steering column should only be carried out by someone with excellent welding skills.
