BMW E36 / E46 REAR TRAILING ARM BUSHING (RTAB) LIMITER/SHIM KIT

Overview

This is a set of Delrin limiters (otherwise known as a rear control arm bushing shim kit). These "shims" fit around the center races on both sides of your OEM RTABs in your E36 and E46. Includes both Left and right. Made in-house in the USA of wear-resistant, noise-resistant Delrin. As with all Garagistic made products, these rear trailing arm bushing limiters have a lifetime warranty!

If you are able to look at your OEM rear control arm bushings and how they're installed, you will know exactly how these can benefit the handling of your E36/E46. It is constructed from soft rubber with a floating center race. By floating, we mean that the center race is insulated by the rubber, but there are gaps cast into the rubber so the bushings are just not strong enough to resist deflection under hard cornering loads. Our E36/E46 limiters will surround the center race on both sides and reinforce the rear trailing arm bushing to resist deflection. Eliminating unwanted changes in the rear suspension geometry under hard driving conditions will maximize OEM bushing life and promote consistent rear suspension response and tire wear characteristics.

Simple to install during a rear trailing arm bushing service (which should be done around 50,000 miles or 3 years). These limiters are a must for all E36/E46 3 Series and E85/E86 Z4 models, regardless of whether they are street or track-driven. Sold as a set of four, one set required per vehicle. These can be used with other BMWs that use control arm bushings that have the part numbers 33322228153 and 33326757885.
