BMW introduced VANOS in the early 90s, and it added variable valve timing to their famous straight six. Over time the VANOS unit wears out and you can develop error codes, or the famous VANOS rattle. The rattle will sound like marbles or rocks at the front of the engine rolling around. We have sourced quality replacement parts in an easy kit. Our kit is offered in 3 different versions.

*Note: a modified 18mm socket is needed to disassemble the VANOS unit. We are now offering this socket at a small charge. If you have a 1993 model single VANOS car, the 18mm socket will not work. You will need a modified 17mm socket.

• 6 Cylinder M50TU, M52, US S50, S52

*Each anti rattle bushing is test fit in an actual VANOS unit for quality.

**BMW used Buna material in the seals which wore out quickly. Our kits include upgraded FKM Viton Seals that withstand higher temperatures and longer life
