Important Information

This tool will only clear stored SRS fault codes after the underlying problem has been repaired.

If your vehicle has an active fault—such as a failed airbag sensor, faulty seat occupancy sensor, damaged wiring, bad clock spring, defective seat belt tensioner, or another malfunction within the SRS system, the warning light will not reset until the failed component has been properly repaired or replaced.

Connection Guide

BMW used two different diagnostic connectors during this model range. Please connect the tool using the correct port for your vehicle.

1994–2000 BMW Models

Most E36, E34, Z3, and early E39 models use the round 20-pin diagnostic connector located under the hood. Use the included 16-pin to 20-pin adapter cable when connecting the tool.

2000–2003 BMW Models

Most late E46, E39, and E53 X5 models communicate through the standard OBD-II port located inside the cabin. No adapter is required for these vehicles.

Using the incorrect diagnostic port is the most common cause of connection issues.
