Shielding your brake master cylinder is an absolute must if you run a turbo on your 240. Most down pipes or headers put the hot exhaust gas right next to the brake master cylinder and brake lines, which causes the brake fluid to boil and induces air into the brakes. Even worse is when the reservoir melts causing the brake fluid to spill out not only loosing your brakes but potentially causing a fire when the fluid splashes onto the hot exhaust.
