The MHX-221C is a high-efficiency oil cooler designed specifically for street and strip C6 Corvettes. Developed through years of data-driven engineering and perfected in our in-house wind tunnel, the MHX series represents the pinnacle of compact heat exchange technology.

Performance & Design

This double-pass cooler maximizes heat extraction in a compact footprint. It matches the cooling capacity of the massive factory C6 Z06 oil cooler but does so in a significantly smaller package. This smaller surface area is a critical advantage for the C6 chassis: it minimizes airflow obstruction to the radiator, helping to lower engine coolant temperatures compared to the large factory Z06 unit.

Application

This cooler is the ideal solution for:

• High-Horsepower Street/Strip Cars (600+ HP): Excellent oil temp management for short bursts and street driving.

• Light Track Duty (160-250 HP): Suitable for lower horsepower vehicles seeing sustained road course use.

• (Note: For dedicated high-horsepower road course track cars, we recommend upgrading to our larger MHX series coolers.)

Installation & Fitment

Designed with C6 geometry in mind, the mounting bungs on the left side align with the factory radiator shroud mounting locations.

• Lines: This cooler uses standard -10AN ports and is not compatible with factory GM oil lines. You must use aftermarket -10AN lines and an oil cooler adapter.

• Mounting: While the left side utilizes factory mounting points, an additional mounting bracket is required to support the right side of the cooler (sold separately).

• Complete Kit: For a hassle-free install, we recommend purchasing our complete C6 Oil Cooler Kit (Part # EC6-603), which includes this cooler, all brackets, and lines.

Every Improved Racing oil cooler is pressure tested to 175 PSI to ensure leak-free performance and rated for continuous operation at 150 PSI. We engineer, manufacture, and test our products in the USA, backing them with a Lifetime Warranty.

Applications and Fitment

• 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette (C6), all models.
• NOTE: Vehicles equipped with a factory water to oil heat exchanger will require capping off the factory water line connections.
• NOTE: Requires aftermarket oil cooler lines and oil cooler adapter, or use Improved Racing's complete bolt-on oil cooler kit (see part number EC6-603).
