Improved Racing - Oil cooler adapter, GM Gen V V8, 6th Gen Camaro

Improved Racing is proud to introduce the first oil cooler adapter for the 6th Generation Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1. This oil cooler adapter allows you to completely replace the factory water-to-oil cooler with an aftermarket air-to-oil cooler. Deleting the factory cooler in favor of an air-to-oil cooler will not only lower oil temperatures but will also reduce coolant temps. This is a must-have for track use.

The oil cooler adapter bolts directly to the 6th Generation Camaro oil pan in place of the factory cooler. For street cars, we recommend also installing an inline oil thermostat to ensure oil comes up to operating temperature quickly and does not become over-cooled during casual street driving. Our FSM series oil thermostat is recommended for this application.

The optional factory cooler delete kit includes a plug for the coolant passage in the engine block as well as a cap and hose clamp for the extra radiator coolant port that will be unused after deleting the factory oil cooler.

*Please Note* We do not recommend installing this product without an aftermarket cooler for any application. Capping the ports will block oil flow and result in catastrophic engine damage. We do offer temporary loop line assemblies for short term use before a cooler install.
