**For overall short-shifting perfection we highly recommend to use stiffer engine and gearbox mounts or at least check the condition of each before use. The short shifter is for racing use only and could transfer more and louder sounds from the driveline in comparison to OEM shifter due to its billet aluminium construction.

This shifter feels great, smooth but mechanical at the same time. The quality of the part is fantastic. Robust but still in a small comfortable package. 100% have already recommended this shifter. Fair warning if you have any grinds in your trans before installing this shifter they will become more pronounced during operation.

From the previous versions of this short shifter, the IRP V3 truly makes up for most of the imperfections it had. The shifter feels very solid, shifts like super short but precise, and installation was not too terrible for a hobbyist like me. Great bang for your buck compared to other brands out there. I wanted this type of shifter on my other projects but always shrugged it off due to the price, but since I've always wanted one, the price and the quality you get from this thing finally made me commit to one.
Overall, I 100% recommend this short shifter for 1st and 2nd Gen 86/FR-S/BRZ. I will expect the infamous rattle to come over time, but why expect luxury when you're willing to buy a solid-mounted metal shifter? Go buy yours now!
For daily driving or track usage. This is a great upgrade over the stock shifter. The push button reverse lock out is quite frankly badass!
With the shifter closer to the steering wheel, it’s definitely more engaging to drive the frs now. Can’t wait until next track day with it.
The throws are definitely closer for sure. Adjustment is easy to do. The hardest part was finding time to do it lol.
