TECH 53 - BMW E36 Coupe bolt-on strut tower reinforcement kit

The E36 front strut towers are known to be out of shape, it is one of the car’s weakest point. When the strut towers start to “mushroom,” it means that the metal has begun to deform. It is a result of stress, corrosion, or improper load distribution. This E36 strut tower reinforcemenent kit is the easiest way to fix or prevent this issue.

The strut towers are integral to the suspension geometry. Deformed strut towers will keep you from properly align your car. This also means that your tire wear won’t be even.
You may experience a harsher ride as the suspension struggles to perform correctly. We recommend the installation of reinforcement plates for both your safety and driving experience.
If you leave the strut towers deformed, you will cause the other suspension components to wear faster, and your suspension won’t work properly.

If your towers are still in good shape, we recommend to every BMW E36 owners to install this kit as a prevention. We have seen a lot of them fail, mostly on cars with aftermarket suspension parts. For example, if you install a coilover kit on your car, chances are the towers will start to bend out of shape.

This E36 strut tower reinforcemenent kit only fits the E36 coupe. We make this kit out of 100 000 psi ASTM A514 heat treated steel. This is how it looks on the E36.

This kit has been tested on our track car for more than 16 hours of racing in a single week-end.

We strongly suggest you also reinforce the rear strut towers of your car with this kit. It is another well known weak point of the E36.
