OVERVIEW

If you've had to replace axles from excessive noise or play at the bearing or from flat out breaking at the CV joint then you likely need axle spacers.

The Henko AutoLab 370z / G37 Axle Spacers are made to slip over the splines of the axle and sandwich between the axle and the back of the hub. This removes the need for longer bolts at the differential which can become a weak point and also makes for a more affordable solution.

Axle spacers are used to ensure the CV joints have the correct amount of internal engagement. When you lower your car, increase camber, or add dual caliper brackets, the CV joints "stretch out" due to the increased distance between the hub and the differential. This increases the risk of the bearings wearing out and failing prematurely or the CV joint fully separating and breaking completely. Using these axle spacers compresses the CV joint back to a suitable engagement and restores their original strength and reliability.

What size axle spacers do I need?

7mm is recommended when using our 370z / G37 Dual Caliper Brackets or if your car is  moderately lowered with slight camber. The dual caliper bracket is exactly 7mm thick so this size replaces that space you would've lost.

12mm is recommended if you have a dual caliper bracket AND your car is lowered with over -4 degrees of camber - or if your car is extremely low and extremely cambered.

**Note to 350z owners using 370z axles:
If you're using 370z axles/wheel bearings in a 350z, you can not fit 12mm spacers and for 7mm spacers, you can fit only 1 side with dual caliper brackets. Using too thick of spacers will cause the axle to bind and break very quickly. In general, if you've upgraded to 370z axles in your 350z, you shouldn't need axle spacers.
