The adapter installation instructions provide only the basic knowledge necessary for the physical connection of the engine and gearbox outside the vehicle body.
Depending on the vehicle, additional modifications may be required, such as: adjusting mounts, bushings, engine firewall, transmission tunnel, driveshaft length, etc.
Our adapters are made from fully recyclable materials.
To mount the flywheel, it is necessary to use a flywheel from the automatic version Toyota OE 32116-50010 and a washer between the engine block and the ring gear OE 32116-50010 4.5mm (not included in the kit). The clutch release fork should be mounted on the lower position of the release bearing (in the case of a two-position bearing)

1. Which starter motor should be used with the PMC Motorsport Toyota 1UZ 3UZ - BMW adapter?
To install the adapter, a Toyota UZ must be used.
2. Which ring gear should be used for the PMC Motorsport Toyota 1UZ 3UZ - BMW flywheel?
When installing the PMC Motorsport Toyota 1UZ 3UZ - BMW flywheel, you should use the ring gear (flywheel) from the automatic version of the Toyota 1UZ 3UZ (OE number: 32116-50010) and one Toyota spacer (OE number: 32116-22020) with a thickness of 4.5 mm between the engine block and the ring gear.
3. The GETRAG 250 / GETRAG 420 / ZF 310 / ZF 320 / ZF5 gearbox does not fit all holes of the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter.
(Applies to adapters manufactured after 2022) The PMC Motorsport adapter is the most universal adapter available on the market, supporting practically every BMW gearbox. When constructing the adapter, we decided on certain compromises. This is the case for the following gearboxes: GETRAG 250 / GETRAG 420 / ZF 310 / ZF 320 / ZF5, where the two upper holes must be slightly ground in the gearbox housing/bellhousing. This modification does not affect the centering of the engine and gearbox.
4. Can I use the gearbox adapter for a 6-speed GS6-53DZ / GS6-53BZ gearbox?
Yes, the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter itself is universal and fits most BMW gearboxes available on the market (applies to adapters manufactured after 2022). If you wish to change the gearbox, you only need to replace the flywheel and the clutch disc.
5. Can I use the PMC Motorsport Toyota 1UZ 3UZ - BMW gearbox adapter for a ZF 8HP?
Yes, the PMC Motorsport gearbox adapter itself is universal and fits most BMW gearboxes available on the market (applies to adapters manufactured after 2022). If you wish to change the gearbox to a ZF 8HP automatic transmission, you must replace the standard flywheel with an 8HP converter adapter (PMC Motorsport).
6. Which clutch can I use with the PMC Motorsport flywheel?
The Toyota 1UZ 3UZ - BMW ZF5 flywheel was designed for a clutch pressure plate from BMW M57 / M57N / M57N2 / N54 / B58 / BMW E46 M3 / Sachs Performance 883082.001243. Very often, clutches from ACT / Spec / Tanaci are used with our kit (it is important that the custom clutch pressure plate also fits the BMW OE flywheel: BMW M57 / M57N / M57N2 / N54 / B58). For your gearbox, you must use a clutch disc with the appropriate spline, a dedicated release kit, and a slave cylinder.
