When upgrading your E46 M3 brakes to a BBK, you should get cooling plates that were specifically designed for the big 355mm oversized rotors to provide efficient cooling and fitment.

Our all aluminum E46 M3 BBK Brake Cooling Backing Plates for the 355mm rotors features our large 'pocket' to allow for more air flow directly into the rotor hat, where you need it.

Forcing cool air through your rotors is the ideal way to eliminate both heat build-up, which will lead to premature wear on your braking system, and the heat that can boil your brake fluid, making it nearly worthless.

The all aluminum construction provides minimal unsprung weight at just 10 ounces, and the benefits of optimal heat exchange over the entire surface area of our backing plate.

The original dust shields will need to be cut off or removed prior to installation. This kit is designed to use the original stock mounting points utilizing your stock hardware as well. Disassembly of your hubs is not required for installation. Some minor trimming may be required for clearance of your oversized calipers and aftermarket brackets. 

This size backing plate is not compatible with the 345mm "CSL" rotors. The standard M3 Rotor backing plate is recommended.
