TECH 53 - BMW E36 RTAB Reinforcement plates (pair)

The front mounting point of the rear trailing arm is a known area of failure on track driven or rusted BMW E36. Over time, you will find cracks and rust around the three trailing arm bolts.

If left unadressed, the trailing arm could disconnect from the car. If it happens, your alignment will be so off that you will be in danger of crashing. This is a must-have to keep your car in shape over the years.

Our plates kit reinforce the stock pocket bungs to prevent failure. Our kit is one of the few in which the plate is not cut in the shape of a “C”. These E36 RTAB reinforcement plates are fully connected all the way around the pocket. In other words, they cover a much wider area than any other on the market.
We make our E36 RTAB Reinforcement plates in .125″ CRS steel. The material and thickness is plenty enough to forever forget about this issue. In this kit you have two plates, in order to cover both driver and passenger side.

To install the plates, we recommend your remove the trailing arms from the pocket. You will then be able to weld the plates directly on your chassis. A professional installation is recommended.

We strongly recommend all E36 owners to also reinforce the rear section of the chassis with this kit.
