DRIFT HQ - Corvette C5 / C6 Wilwood Dual Caliper (Modelo de freno de mano estándar)

I have had this setup for a whole season (around 30 days of drifting) I have not had good luck with it holding pressure. I have even gone as far as detaching the handbrake and putting it on the roof to make sure its the highest point when i bleed it. I have had to bleed it before every event and I would usually get a solid day of good pressure before i start noticing it go away and me having to pump it many times before it locks the brakes. I have made sure there are no leaks on the whole system. About half way through the season i did have to replace the pads and i got lucky enough that DriftHQ was at that event so i just walked over and bought some so i got lucky. It did not bother me so much to replace the pads because i do love how it feels when its working properly but i don't have the best luck with the setup especially with how much the upfront cost was. love drift hq for their products and R&D but not loving this setup as much.

Good kit for the simple bolt-on folks like myself that aren't too mechanically inclined. Be aware you have to remove the rear knuckle to remove dust shield which literally holds the brake shoes for the factory handbrake. You also can't get to the bottom caliper bolt with the rear tie rod in place which won't clear the caliper if installed prior, so you have to leave top bolt out fold caliper down, install tie rod, then fold caliper back in place to install top bolt and then you can't get to bottom bolt bc lower control arm is in the way. You could remedy this by unscrewing tie rod from rear arm but then you'll need an alignment. Personally I greatly appreciate these kits because I'm no fabricator but if I was I definitely wouldn't be proud of this work. Maybe someone will make one with the caliper mounts slightly higher, which would also aid in the bleeding process. Installed on c6 grand sport.

Install was quick and fairly easy. Love this set up. Had to use 90 degree fittings at caliper. Would highly recommend!!
