It is more than likely your BMW E30 fuse box cover has seen better days. They can get scratched up and the tabs will easily break. On top of this, the gasket on the cover can crack or being missing all together, possibly allowing moisture to get into your fuse box. If this happens, corrosion can begin, and you can start to have electrical gremlins. Clean up your engine bay with a brand new cover.
