The EC6-603 is the ultimate "do-it-all" oil cooling solution for C6 Corvettes that see mixed duty between the street, the drag strip, and the autocross course. This kit is designed to solve a specific problem: keeping oil temperatures safe without blocking airflow to the radiator.

Optimized for Airflow

Unlike massive track-only coolers that can obstruct airflow to the radiator, this kit utilizes our efficient MHX-221C double-pass cooler. It provides oil cooling performance comparable to the factory Z06 setup but with a significantly smaller footprint. This compact design allows more air to pass through to the radiator, resulting in lower engine coolant temperatures—a critical advantage for cars running air conditioning in hot climates or waiting in staging lanes.

Street-Friendly Warm-Up

This kit is perfectly streetable thanks to the included patented thermostatic oil cooler adapter. The thermostat creates a bypass that allows engine oil to reach safe operating temperatures much faster than the factory oil cooler system, which lacks a thermostat. This eliminates the "over-cooling" issues common with factory Z06 systems during highway driving.

Tech Note: The Z06 oil temp sensor is located at the bottom of the dry sump oil tank. Because the cooled oil returns to the tank before reaching the sensor, your dashboard gauge may read roughly 20°F lower than the actual temperature at the thermostat. Do not be alarmed if your displayed oil temps appear slightly lower than the thermostat's rating.

We don't cut corners on plumbing. The kit includes professionally assembled and pressure-tested, lightweight -10AN oil lines featuring a Viton rubber interior, stainless reinforcement to prevent kinking, and a silicone-fiberglass sleeve for protection from header heat.

Applications

• 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette (C6), all models.
• Note: Vehicles equipped with a factory water-to-oil heat exchanger (ZR1, some Z07/Carbon models) must cap off the factory coolant lines.

Thermostat Selection Guide

• 180°F Thermostat: Recommended for street use and occasional track/autocross use. Recommended for all wet sump vehicles (LS2/LS3).
• 200°F and 212°F Thermostats: Recommended for dedicated race cars running higher viscosity oil that must maintain higher minimum oil temperatures.

Installation Notes

This kit is designed to mount in the factory oil cooler location on the driver's side of the radiator shroud. A template is provided to mark the shroud for drilling the mounting holes. Minimal trimming of the plastic shroud is required to route the lines.
