Tick Performance - Money Shift F-Body Style Shifter

The infamous Money Shift is now a thing of the past. No more blown engines or destroyed transmissions. Our new Money Shift Short-Throw Shifter eliminates the dreaded 2-3-2 shift. 

Our Money-Shift Billet Short-Throw Shifter for F-Body Style T-56 and Magnum F is one-of-a-kind American-made technology. Once you leave 2nd gear, billet pins lock out 1st and 2nd gear. This eliminates accidental downshifts from 3rd to 2nd (when you meant to go to 4th gear). 

The Money Shift can create a total loss for your car, by overrevving and therefore destroying the engine and/or the transmission. So, while this shifter is at a high price point compared to standard short-throw shifters, it eliminates much more expensive potential problems. 

Once you’ve completed a pass, simply compress the small lever releasing the lock out and allowing you to access 1st and 2nd gears. 

This Money Shift shifter is custom built-to-order, so please confirm wait times before ordering. We manufacture these shifters in house with American-sourced materials. 

Shifter Positioning 

The shifter utilizes our industry-renowned Revolver Lock shifter technology, which allows for 48 positions of the shifter handle placement. Simply select which offset you want or opt for the three-pack that includes all available offsets Learn more about the Revolver Lock here and then select which offsets you want from the drop down option. 

Cable Mechanism 

The cable mechanism exists the shifter base in either a forward or reverse positioning, this only concerns clearance and does not change the shifter’s performance. However, this cannot be changed once the shifter is ordered, so please check which position is right for your vehicle before placing your ordering.

The shifter comes as shown with the carbon-fiber stick and Delrin knob. The knob is a standard, 9/16 x 18 thread which can be replaced. The shifter stick uses a simpler single bolt from the bottom, but can be used with our two-bolt shifter handle adapter included with the standard Revolver Lock (please inquire with a sales consultant if this is required).  

Tick Performance offers shifter rebuilds and maintenance when required, but any disassembly of the shifter outside of Tick Performance will void the warranty. All Tick Performance shifters include lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. 

The Money Shift Shifter is NOT available for Magnum XL (please inquire), TKX, or Corvette C5/C6/C7 shifters.
